I'm finding my bikes to be really long. I like them to fit nice so my knees don't hit the handlebars, but i want to be able to throw a bike around. you know, a semi short wheelbase. Might be a little more tipsy, but my bike has a medium frame, 17"chainstay and a 67 degree head tube with an 8" 888. dosent sound long..or maybe the frame is a large. anyway, it feels huge! can you suggest a bike that has a relativly short chainstay, can be thrown around but can still handle wicked corners? My buddy's got a demo and he loves it

Me to, minus rockhopper. See what I was talking about with the bridge? I think it is time to go hunting with Richard Woodley this spring.

That's a nice 20 bucks per run. and come on man, I doubt an 88 year old would actually race downhill on a Chumba F5

SAVAGE-RIDER wrote

Well, I guess your right. I haven't really taken it down any decent DH hills so I can't really say if it's a good DH bike or not. I think in the mean time I'm still gonna save up for that session 10. But well see what happens

SAVAGE-RIDER wrote
Sep 20, 2009 at 9:38
That's why I'd build the pdc up as a 4x bike and have the session 10 when I go to the resort or something. Plus I plan to move out to BC sometime in the next year or so with my gf.

SAVAGE-RIDER wrote
Sep 20, 2009 at 9:19
Yeah I guess. It's decent weight for a DH bike. I'm guessin 42 maybe lil lighter. I could probably get it to a respectable 36 or so converted. If I don't buy the session 10 I'm just gonna end up spending the money on the PDC. So, what would I rather do? Spend 1500 on upgrades or spend a little more on a full bike? I think the session 10 could handle more than the PDC could...

SAVAGE-RIDER wrote
Sep 20, 2009 at 9:01
LOL
That is why I would make the PDC a 4x bike so I can ride around here with a small travel fully. I'd use the session 10 when ever I felt like going for a DH ride. And so I can bring it to whistler when I go.

SAVAGE-RIDER wrote
Sep 20, 2009 at 8:36
Maybe you can help me? I'm tempted to buy a session 10 for my real dh bike. The PDC can be converted to a 4x bike by swapping the rear shock and front fork for smaller travel fork and rear shock. So if I do that and then buy session 10 I'll have a 4x and a DH bike.
